Anyways, being the Gentleman that I am, I proffered the girl a Stuyvesant. She declined. Getting out of bed and jamming her T-shirt between her legs (bit of a design fault on the part of the Creator there but this was the pre-AIDS , pre-Condom, 80?s and anyways she was catholic) she said ?no thanks, I want to stuff one? .
Stuff one? I thought we?d just taken care of that...
Anyways she wandered over to the cupboard and took out a tin of Marlboro Tobacco. I didn?t even know that Marlboro did loose tobacco. Then she took out a box of ?empty? cigarettes and a gadget.

I love gadgets. Don't worry Dear, if you haven?t got a ?Y? chromosome you wouldn?t understand.
She proceeded to ?stuff? or rather ?tube? a smoke.
Like I said, this was the 80?s in Germany. Back before ?Reunification? and the Euro , when a pack of Marlboro or a 50g pouch both cost 4 marks (�1.20)....or 20p if you had thought to bring a bag of brit 5p coins with you and you got your fags out of the machines on every street corner (old squaddies trick).
The Continentals have been ?tubing? for decades. But until recently it remained the preserve of students and Poor People. It never really caught on here in the UK because of the price of rolling tobacco meant that even back in the 80?s it would have been more expensive to tube than to buy a pack of straights.
However in the last few years the price of cigarettes and tobacco has sky rocketed in the rest of Europe too. A packet of fags in the Benelux or Germany costs almost as much as it does in the UK and the 50g pouch has almost tripled in price. They have even started selling half packs or ?tens? of cigarettes, something unknown there a few short years ago.
So now you know what all those tubs and tins are you see on the tobacconist?s shelf when you go baccy buying in the Benelux. Tubing has become more and more popular over there.
Tubing tobacco is a little different from RYO. Its cured and cut slightly differently. Yes you can roll Tubing tobacco, just has you can tube RYO but it doesn?t work as well in either case.
Rule of Thumb: If it is in a tub, can, bucket or zip bag then it is tubing tobacco, if it?s in a pouch then its RYO.
(Some tubs however do say ?all round? which means it can be used for tubing & hand rolling.)
If you?re a ?straights? man and don?t really like roll ups then tubing might be for you. (Does your wife grizzle too when you put your knees on the steering wheel to roll a fag on the autobahn?) You can even get electric tubing gadgets although personally I use the ?Rizla Concept? machines and their tubes because they can be bought in most supermarkets in the UK , should i happen to forget to order more on Ebay.
At the present a smoke-able tubing tobacco will set you back about 10 Euros for 100g in the BNL and Germany. Premium tobacco brands such as Marlboro are a bit more expensive but only by a couple of Euros.
I spend those long winter Norfolk evenings making my smokes for the next day. Top Tip: put your tubed smokes filter side down in the empty cigarette pack , saves on tobacco falling out.

One Pizza costs $1000.
One of relatives recently returned from New York after completing her higher studies. The way she exited from New York created quite a stir in my family.
She is mad about Pizza. A few days before she was scheduled to leave the U.S., she had gone to party at Nino Selimaj's luxury (?) pizza outlet with her friends and paid through nose. She shelled out over $1000 plus tips.
When she came out of the shop, she went directly to her apartment, opened her laptop and looked out for Nino's pizza. What she read shocked her. The pizza she ate with her friends contained an expensive caviar. The other toppings of the pizza included a lobster!
The funniest things is she thought she ate a vegetarian pizza and that is why she was shocked when read the bill amount that crossed $1000!

What is Nordic Walking?
Have you see the sticks that are also called 'poles' used by skiers? Well, if you use such poles while walking on any other surface apart from snow is called 'Nordic' walking.
This exercise is considered very good when compared to normal walking because you apply pressure with your arms on the poles you are carrying and this burns more calories. Other benefits include increase in overall body strength and fluidity in the joints.
What is important is the height of the poles which should be about 2/3 of the height of the user. Real Nordic Walking Poles utilize special Nordic Walking Straps - kind of like a fingerless glove, allowing power transmission through the strap and eliminating the need to uncomfortably grip the poles.
These Nordic walking poles come with removable rubber tips for better grip on hard surface and and hardened metal tips for trails, the beach, snow and ice. Most poles are made from lightweight aluminum, carbon fiber, or composite materials.

The weather is pleasant here at this time of the year. Even at 3.00 PM, there is a mild chillness in the air. I thought it is an ideal time to browse through my favorite of book of rare natural facts. I have not opened it since last October.
Some of them really amused me and I though I would share a few rare facts with you.
* Have ever you seen an Ostrich running? It is a delightful sight to watch. They are graceful runners. Do you know they can run faster than horses?
* Here is a new, rather unknown fact. Contrary to the popular belief, the lions are selective hunters and they definitely don't spend their entire time hunting down. I read that they have a limit of just 20 killings in a YEAR! Here is another interesting fact. The lioness does 90% of the hunting!
While both the above seem to be authentic, I can't say the same about this:
Cows have four stomachs!

Ostrich and lion steal the show.
The weather is pleasant here at this time of the year. Even at 3.00 PM, there is a mild chillness in the air. I thought it is an ideal time to browse through my favorite of book of rare natural facts. I have not opened it since last October.
Some of them really amused me and I though I would share a few rare facts with you.

What is a Ghost Rocket?
This is true but certainly unbelievable! I know, I have deliberate reversed the word which would normally read as, "Unbelievable but true".
Sometimes during 1946, in Sweden, mysterious rocket like missiles were spotted. No, they were not UFO in the usual sense when disc shaped objectes were reported as seen. (BTW, why such sightings were always seen by farmers?)
But these so called ghost rockets were seen not by public but by radars and military establishments. Were these caused by meteors?
This mystery is still unresolved but there is one interesting information about these ghost rockets in Sweden. The Swedish army prohibited reporting such sightings in newspapers especially to the exact location of a sighting, or any information regarding the direction or speed of the object.
This widely circulated photo of a "ghost rocket," taken July 9, 1946, in Sweden, was most likely a meteor.

Shoe of the moment: Ruthie Davis? spring/summer 2011 collection
To say that I’m head over heels for Ruthie Davis’ spring/summer 2011 footwear collection is an understatement. The array of shapes and styles she’s incorporated into her line this season is extremely diverse displaying colourful shoes with spikes to architectural minimalistic heels.
Davis’ shoes are not for the faint of heart, she challenges you to step out of your comfort zone and explore the possibility of trying on shoes you wouldn’t normally slip on your feet.
I had a difficult time choosing just one shoe from her collection for this week’s Shoe of the Moment entry; therefore, I’ve selected a few of my favourites which are the standout pieces.
Palm Springs
Shoe specifications:
- Outer, patent leather
- Colours – lemon, fluo apple and fluo orange
- Heel height, 12.7 cm
Why I chose this shoe: the double platform, peep-toe pump design really appeals to me here. The Palm Springs take a simple shoe design and funks it up by combining a multitude of neon colours.
Cactus Fluo Nero
Shoe specifications:
- Outer, patent leather
- Colour, fluo yellow and fluo pink
- Heel height, 12 cm
Why I chose this shoe: the black spikes on the back of this heel makes the Cactus Fluo Nero one bad ass shoe – enough said.
Lava Lamp
Shoe specifications:
- Outer, patent leather
- Colours – fluo pink and almond
- Heel height, 12.7 cm
Why I chose this shoe: again the double stacked platform heel with multi-rubber straps.
Angelina
Shoe specifications:
- Outer, leather
- Colours – almond and black
- Heel height, 14 cm
Why I chose this shoe: the cut out heel with exposed stainless steel rod.
Robot
Shoe specifications:
- Outer, leather
- Colours – almond and black with silver
- Heel height, 14cm
Why I chose this shoe: the futuristic design of this shoe with its multiple straps combined with exposed stainless steel rod at the heel.
