Not all of us were lucky enough to attend Coachella, the hottest music festival of the year, but if we can put our jealousy aside from just a few moments, there's actually plenty to be learned from those who did get to rock out over the weekend. And strangely enough, it has nothing to do with music! Big-ticket outdoor festivals are always prime fashion-spotting occasions, and I'm loving all the spring layers and sunny-weather accessories that the event's attendees used to their advantage, both functionally and fashionably! Big floppy straw hats seemed to be one of the biggest trends -- one that will take us into summer as well -- helping to beat the mid-day sun while adding a cool dose of laid-back glamour. Go for a classic style like this woven sunhat by Melissa Obadash or this Eugenia Kim chain-embellished Honey Toyo hat, or for a little more feminine flair, this Urban Outfitters floppy hat has a scalloped lacy brim. Mix trends with a striped style like this nautical-inspired hat by Lacoste, or go a little diva with it with gold stripes (and a cute bow!) courtesy of Nine West!
